Medallion 28- Bharhut Series
Medallion Style: Plant + Geometry
The final medallion in this series brings together layers of rhythm and motion. At its heart lies a lotus, surrounded by three concentric borders:
The first, a necklace of rectangular beads, grounding the design with structure.
The second, a row of lotus petals, unfolding outward with grace.
The third, a circular ring of side-view utpalas, each paired with two buds.
The pointed forms of the utpalas and buds guide the eye in a continuous clockwise flow, creating a medallion that feels dynamic yet harmonious. It is both an ending and a continuation — a perfect close to the cycle of medallions, echoing the eternal rhythm of water, life, and creation.
